Naz Chowdhury
Nazi Faisal Chowdhury (Naz) has been engaged with The Optimists since 2021, contributing his leadership and passion for expanding educational opportunities in Bangladesh. The Optimists is a non‑profit organization dedicated to supporting high‑performing students who lack resources and are at risk of dropping out, a mission that resonates deeply with Naz’s own roots in Bangladesh. He now serves on the Board of Directors of The Optimists.
With more than 15 years of professional experience in manufacturing, process engineering, and quality management, Naz brings a strong problem‑solving mindset to the organization. He has worked across industries including energy, apparel, building materials, and fiber optics, and currently serves as an Engineer at Con Edison of New York.
Naz holds master’s degrees in Industrial & Management Engineering (Montana State University) and Chemical Engineering & Polymer Science (Shahjalal University of Science & Technology). Now living in Edison, NJ with his wife and two daughters, he remains committed to helping talented students in Bangladesh stay in school and achieve their full potential.
